Meath's Brian Carroll and Tom Sheridan claimed the All Ireland Senior Doubles 40x20 Handball title last Sunday at St Comans Roscommon.
The Kells men defeated reigning champions Paul Brady and Michael Finnegan from Cavan.
These handballers are no strangers to each other with the Cavan men taking last years title. Carroll and Sheridan pushed Brady and Finnegan to a 21-19 tiebreaker in 2013 and a 21-20 tiebreaker in an epic 2012 40x20 final.
This was Tom Sheridan's 10th title with a fourth different partner in Brian Carroll.
The Cavan men entered this years final as favourites. Brady and Finnegan raced in to a 15-3 first game lead but the Meath fought back to 17-20 and dramatically won the opening game 21-20.
The second game was even more exciting. Sheridan and Carroll raced in to a 11-7 lead. Cavan fought back and were level at 19 each. Meath had two serves to win it but Brady and Finnegan held their nerve to take the game 21-19.
The third and final game had only started when Brady took and injury time out and after 15 minutes he decided that he was unable to continue. The game and title was awarded to Sheridan and Carroll.
The Meath men now hold all three Senior All-Ireland Doubles titles at the same time; 40x20, 60x30 & Hardball. It seals Tom's 10th title, and Brian first senior title in 40x20.
