Moynalvey made the trip to Pilltown a successful one on Sunday evening last when they came up trumps against a strong, athletic Bettystown side.

Due to illness, work commitments and other sporting commitments, Moynalvey defeated Colmcilles with the bear 15 players. Overall work rate and passing was good but Moynalvey hit 15 wides throughout the game which is something that needs to be looked at. There was some strong individual performances from the 3 Smith sisiters, Ailishe, Tara and Aideen as well as our sole county representative Kate Lawless along with some fine saves from Mary Conneely. Moynalvey will take the win and look forward to their third round encounter against Blackhall Gaels in two weeks time.
