Anti-Bullying Workshop  On Thursday March 19th we will host an anti-bullying workshop which will be facilitated by John McHale. This is an excellent course and with bullying a very prevalent topic at the moment it is important that our coaches make a big effort to attend. It is limited to twenty four attendees on the night and places are filling up quickly.  As we look to lead from the front as regards protecting the children in our care to the best of our ability it is a course that is sure to be beneficial. General Meeting
There will be a General Meeting in the clubhouse on Tuesday March 24th at 20:30.

Juvenile Meeting
There will be a meeting of the Juvenile Club on Monday March 23rd at 20:30 in the clubhouse. 

Strictly Come Dancing
The countdown to our Strictly Come Dancing 2015 event is now on and the thirty dancers all descended on our clubhouse on Monday evening to meet the dance instructors and commence practice for the big night which will take place on Friday May 15th in the Knightsbrook Hotel. 

The fifteen couples are - John Smith and Sarah Clancy, Shane Corbally and Carmel Healy, Conor Cowley and Sarah Muldoon, Eoin Battersby and Joyce McDonagh, Derek Carroll and Pamela Ryan, Cormac Noonan and Colleen O'Dea, Darrell McAuley and Karen Lynch, Adam Carey and Ellen Sheridan, Andrew Mooney and Aoife Stanley, Grainne Kennedy and Niall Groome, David Clarke and Nicola McDonagh, Jim Rooney and Deirdre Naughton, Thomas Daly and Jennifer Monaghan, Liam Sharp and Audrey O'Reilly. 

Senior
The next game for the Senior side will be an away game against Ballinlough in Round 4 of the League on Sunday March 29th at 15:00. 

Junior B
The Junior B team fell to a disappointing 5-14 to 0-04 defeat on Friday night when they found Simonstown Gaels too hot to handle.  No doubt they will bounce back to form in their next outing. 

Junior D
Numbers were thin on the ground on Sunday as the mammy's were being looked after on Mother's Day so with the game reduced to thirteen a side the Junior D team took to the field against St. Vincent's.  Under these conditions and with an understrength side on display they were defeated by the Ardcath men on a scoreline of 6-12 to 2-06.  

Their next game will be the back fixture from Round 2 of the League when they face Wolfe Tones in Kilberry on Sunday March 29th at 11:30. 

Minor
The Minor side recorded an impressive 3-14 to 2-11 victory over St. Patrick's on St. Patrick's Day to boost their record so far to three wins from four matches.  Seventeen scores is an impressive return but they will be aware that they will need to be more clinical in future games as there were numerous scoring opportunities passed up on Tuesday. 

Next up for the side is a home game against Na Fianna on Saturday March 28th at 16:00. 

Under 14
The U-14 team recorded an impressive 4-11 to 1-09 win over St. Vincent's/Curraha in Round 2 of their League on Saturday evening as they bounced back from their opening day reversal to Rathkenny. 

Next up for them is a home game against Skryne which has been fixed for Saturday March 28th at 15:00 in Fr. Tully Park.   

Under 12
The U-12 side had a tough Challenge game on Sunday morning when they played host to St. Cuthbert's.  With their matches played out over two games and the result a cumulative score of both they emerged as narrow winners to boost their confidence levels before their opening League game which takes place on Sunday at 12:30 in Fr. Tully Park against Navan O'Mahonys. 

Seneschalstown Nursery
Following the winter break coaching resumes for the U-6 and U-8 players on Saturday morning when along with the U-10's they will have a Pella Tournament for the different ages in the hall from 10:00 - 13:00.

Senior Ladies
With their Round 1 League game against Boardsmill yet to be played the Senior Ladies took to the field on St. Patrick's Day to take on Simonstown Gaels in Round 2 of the competition.  With a number of last year's team unavailable for selection at the moment it was an opportunity for some of the younger players to continue their introduction to Adult Football.  With this in mind, the result was not the be all and end all and the girls did very well, going down in the end by 4-09 to 3-09. 

One of the most pleasing aspects of the game was the return to action of Amy Gilsenan, eleven months after she sustained a cruciate ligament injury when playing for the Meath Minors.  It's a massive boost for the upcoming season to have Amy back on the playing field. 

Girls Under 14:
The U-14's had a good Challenge game against Simonstown on Saturday afternoon and then played St. Colmcilles in the League on Monday night. 

In the game on Monday they lost out on a score of St. Colmcilles 5-11 Seneschalstown 3-03.  The following is a brief synopsis of the match. 

The Seneschalstown U-14 Girls found St. Colmcilles just too hot to handle in Piltown on Monday evening under lights, despite holding the slenderest of half time leads when ahead by 2-02 to 1-04, with the Seneschalstown goals coming courtesy of Sinéad McLarney and Ava Jane Ryan.
The East Meath side though turned in a dominant display in the second half. A late consolation goal by Aoibhe Monaghan reduced the sizable gap but it wasn't enough to haul back the Cilles girls. No doubt these teams will be close to the top of the pile by the business end of the league and hopefully our girls will have their say then.
It was Sorcha Gough 3rd game in 3 days after playing with Loreto on Saturday, Meath U-14's yesterday and she put in a huge effort. Well done to all our players on a very committed performance tonight and they will be eager for more action next Saturday afternoon when they face four games in the Meath Féile. Next time girls.

The side face a very busy weekend with four games taking place on Saturday afternoon as they contest the inaugural Meath Ladies Féile.  First up is a game against Donaghmore/Ashbourne at 12:00 which will be followed by a match against Simonstown Gaels at 13:35.  In Round 3 they face St. Colmcilles at 14:10 and then in Round 4 they take on Skryne at 15:00. 

With four games of thirty minutes duration each the girls face a tough task but no doubt they will acquit themselves with distinction.   

Their training continues on Monday evenings from 18:30 - 19:30.

Girls Under 10
Coaching for the U-10 Girls continues on Monday evenings from 18:30 - 19:30. 

Easter Sportsarama
The Fourth Annual Easter Sportsarama takes place on Holy Thursday, April 2nd in Seneschalstown. Registration is now open and will be accepted on the morning. All children will be divided into groups based on age. Lotto
The numbers drawn in this week's Lotto were 18, 20, 21 and 25.  There was no winner of the jackpot of €6,400.  Next week's jackpot will be worth €6,500.  The 5 x €25 winners are Lynn Carroll, Gordon McGuirk, Karen Dunphy, Joan Kearns and Rita Clarke.

Meath
The county senior side required a late point from substitute Eamon Wallace to earn a point against Laois in their Round 5 game in the Allianz National League Division 2 game last Saturday evening.  Having held a 0-11 to 0-04 lead shortly into the second half they will have been disappointed to require a late equalising point to gain a share of the spoils. 

Next up for them is their postponed Round 3 game against Roscommon when they travel to Dr. Hyde Park to take on their hosts (snow permitting).  Throw in on Sunday is at 15:00. 

Meath U-21
Best wishes to the U-21 team when they take on Kildare this evening (Wednesday) at 19:30 in the Leinster Championship semi-final.  The game takes place in O'Moore Park Portlaoise. 

Meath Minors
Hard luck to the Meath Minors who fell to a one point defeat in the Leinster League on Saturday.  The club was well represented on the day with Adam Carey and Niall Hickey both taking to the field while Joe Sheridan is a selector. 

Meath Ladies Seniors
Life in Division 2 of the Tesco Homegrown National Football League is proving to be tough for the counties Senior Ladies and they fell to a heavy 6-17 to 2-06 defeat. 

Meath Ladies U-16
The Meath Ladies U-16 team take on Kildare in Maynooth this Sunday at 14:00.  Best of luck to Kiah Geraghty and her teammates. 

Meath Ladies U-14
Congrats to the Ladies U-14 Girls who had a comfortable 5-14 to 3-05 win over Laois last Saturday in Mountmellick.  Well done to Sorcha Gough who played an integral role in the victory. 

Loreto
Best of luck to Loreto who play St. Brigid's Tuam in the All Ireland Senior Final on Saturday afternoon at 15:00 in Pearse Park Longford.  Stacey Grimes, Ruth Commons, Róisín Commons & Orla McMahon all represent the club on the team and we would like to particularly wish these girls all the best on Saturday. 

The Loreto Junior team found John the Baptist Community School, Limerick a shade too strong on Saturday when losing out by 3-13 to 3-06.

Róisín Commons as well as Orla McMahon and Sorcha Gough represented the club on this team at the weekend.  Ye may not have made it to the final this time but there will be plenty of All Irelands to be won girls.
