Na Fianna U14 girls off to a great start in Division 1

The U 14s started their Division 1 campaign in a wet, windy Simonstown Sunday afternoon with a 13-16 to 2-0 win.

Good performances put in by all the girls playing with the wind at their back for the first half. Emma Reagan opened the scoring with a well taken point followed by an early goal. The first 10-15 minutes were a goal blitz for NaFianna with  Niamh Mulvihill scoring 3, Ellen O'Hara 1 and Emma Reagan adding another. They went on scoring 7 points before  Leah Devine added 3 goals in a row before Simonstown opened there account with a goal. At the half NF stood at 10-8 to 1-0. 

Soon after second half opened all  4 subs  came into the game with Niamh Griffin( for Emma Reagan) adding 1-1 before the  final whistle, Lauyrn McElvana (for Allanah Fahey) adding a point. Also subs adding to the game Niamh Connelly (for Orla Mulvihill) and Caoimhe Slattery (for Emer Clarke). Some great ball work between Leah Devine , Eimear Fagan and Sarah Doherty kept this game moving at a fast pace. Every one of the panel deserves mention for  great work.

Scoring Leah Devine 3-3, Eimear Fagan 1-2 Niamh Mulvihill 3-4 Emma Reagan 2-2 Ellen O'Hara 1-1 Sarah Doherty 0-1 Niamh Griffin 1-1 and Niamh Coffey 1-0 with a goal and point unaccounted for. Well done Girls!!
