O'Mahony's James O'Reilly gets away from James O'Keeffe Ballinlough during the opening round of the Division 1 FL at Brews Hill.

The Meath club football season got up and running tonight with the start of the All County Leagues. It was billed as the clash of the champions but there was only one winner in Brews Hill as senior championship winners Navan O'Mahonys proved too strong for a very depleted Intermediate winners Ballinlough. Keegan Cup finalists Donaghmore Ashboune suffered defeat at the hands of Simonstown while St Ultans earned local bragging rights with an opening round win over Cortown.
