Three clubs to be allowed amalgamate at U21 level

January 13, 2015

Inny Gaels (St Brigids and Moylagh) celebrate with the 2013 U21 B football championship cup at Moynalty.

A Ballinlough motion proposing that three clubs instead of two in previous years be allowed to join forces for under-21 competitions was given the green light at Monday's county committee meeting.

James Brady spoke in favour of this motion and although Brendan Dempsey wondered if strong clubs like Navan O'Mahonys and Simonstown Gaels could amalagamate, it was decided that the CCC should have tthe final say on team entering.

Although the adjourned convention was scheduled to take place before the first Country Committee meeting, there was nothing left over from the annual stocktaking session to debate.
