Gala Dinner Presentation 2014

We held our Adult Gala Dinner dance just before Christmas in City North Hotel to celebrate the season that was had in 2014.  A great turn out for the club probably one of, if not the best season the club has had in a very long time & a worthy celebration for all.  We thank City North Hotel for hosting & serving us a wonderful dinner, to the band & DJ who had everybody out in their feet dancing to great hits and tunes into the early hrs of the morning. As always our PRO Gareth McDonnell was their to capture some of  the moments & especially our video montage "It was a very good year" which is available to view on our Facebook & Youtube pages. End of Season Club Awards on the night went to Senior Footballer for 2014 Niall Mooney, Junior Footballer Adam Byrne, U21 Footballer David McQuillan, Hurler of the year went to the outstanding J.P Ryan, Ladies LGFA award went to Kim Saurin, while Club Person of the year for 2014 went to John Finnegan.

Investing In The Future.

St.Patricks C.L.G recently featured in an article on official Gaa.ie website "Investing In The Future". Today the impressive facility on the Cockhill Road, which was voted Meath's club grounds of the year in 2013, stands as a testament to all the hard work that has been invested over the last 10 years. What is really gratifying for us is to see so many young boys and girls availing of the facilities. Our juvenile section is growing enormously, we are adjacent to a new NS school in Stamullen along with the NS school in Julianstown and this area it is seen as one of the highest population growth areas in the country. We often have to pinch ourselves and say that 10 years ago if someone told us this could be done we probably wouldn't have believed them. But in saying that it's there now and now is the time for the club to concentrate on the playing of the sports that we all love. For more on the article visit the link below.

In the 3rd and final instalment we had the remaining boys from U12's to Minor, & U12's Girls to Minor ladies. A great celebration was had by all on a season which will be remembered for a long time to come. Many thanks to all that attended and supported their son/daughter on the day. Four Counties were represented on the day, Meath, Kildare, Laois and Louth. The games started at 10.30 am sharp. This blitz was the season finale for this bunch of promising players who have tasted success in their travels around the country. Recording impressive wins over teams like Dublin Kildare Down Monaghan Westmeath Cavan Louth and Longford. Thanks to all that attended and supported the event. In the final Meath raced in to a 1-3 to 0-1 lead but Kildare fought back at went in at the break 2-1 to 1-3 ahead. Girls Meath Primary Schools Final

The scoreline suggested that it was easy for St.Declan's NS Ashbourne in this encounter in the Girls Div1. Shield final but they had to work hard especially in the opening half to get the upper hand against a battling Whitecross NS. Whitecross has previously met St.Declans & recorded a win but this just was'nt going to be their day this time around with Ashbourne taking the victory. Final score St.Declans 4.7 Whitescross 0.3
