SF Challenge: O'Sullivan continues rich vein of scoring form

December 19, 2014

Meath's Sean Tobin

Monaghan 0-14
Meath 1-10

Mark O'Sullivan continued where he left off against Longford last Sunday when scoring 1-6 in a one-point defeat at the hands of Monaghan in Meath Hill last night.

The Moynalvey player caused plenty of headaches for Monaghan centre-back Kieran Duffy and 1-3 of his final tally came from open play.

The sides went in level on 0-7 apiece at the break with the industrious Sean Tobin also getting on the scoresheet with two first-half points.

O'Sullivan's goal looked to have earned Mick O'Dowd's experimental outfit a share of the spoils but a one point defeat wasn't a bad result against a Farney outfit that fielded experienced players such as Dick Clerkin, Darren Hughes and Drew Wylie.
