Meath County Board have announced the appointment of Seamus Kenny as Operations Manager with responsibility for managing the county operations function.

Kenny, who retired from intercounty football following Meath's exit from the 2014 championship, has been a full time coaching officer with the county for the last number of years.

"This position is a step forward and reinforces Meath GAA's desire to improve our structures and grow the organisation to enhance the performance of our teams on the pitch," said Meath PRO Martin O'Halloran.

"Seamus will be supported in his role by Tara Rowan who has been appointed to the new role of Senior Administrator."
