Ráth Tó 2-16 Na Fianna 3-13
Ratoath and Na Fianna played out an exciting draw in this semi final of the minor hurling "A" championship that took place in Brownstown. Playing against the wind in the first half Ratoath were nonetheless still well in contention at half time trailing by 7 points.
The second half saw Ratoath cancel out the deficit and with time running out were a point ahead. Confusion then reigned as Ratoath were a point ahead, having consulted the referee, choose not to go for a score from a free and instead tried to keep possession. Na Fianna eventually got the equalising square to make the score 2-12 apiece as the game went into extra time.
Extra time failed though to separate sides. Despite the home side getting the first 4 scores of the opening period Na Fianna showed their resilience in notching a goal and a point to level the score at the finish. The replay takes place this Friday night in Dunganny with a 7.30 throw in
