Leinster club MFC: Dunboyne into last four

St Peters Dunboyne accounted for Northern Gaels (Longford) in the Leinster Minor Football QF in Carlow on Sunday. The team showed three changes from the County final with Philip Darcy, Jack Cox and Robbie Comer replacing Conor Keeley, Ronan Fitzmaurice and Daire Boylan respectively. The game was closer than the score line suggests, Dunboyne scored the final 1-01 in injury time. Dunboyne scorers were Jack Cox 2-01, Philip Darcy 1-01, David McEntee 0-04 (1f) and Ronan Jones 0-01.

The semi-final will be played in Dunboyne next Sunday 7th December at 2.00pm. It will be a North East affair, Newtown Blues from Louth will provide the opposition, they comfortably beat the Geraldines 4-15 to 1-5 in the Louth County final and accounted for Tinryland from Carlow in the LQF.

Previous winner of this tournament include 2003 Kilmacud Crokes, 2004 St Joseph's Wicklow, 2005 Heath Laois, 2006 Cuala, 2007 St Brigids, 2008 Donaghmore Ashbourne, 2009 Na Fianna Dublin, 2010 Athy, 2011 Celbridge, 2012 Round Towers Kildare, 2013 Shamrocks Offaly. 

The winner of next Sundays semi-final will play Ferbane/Belmont from Offaly in the final the following week in Carlow. Ferbane/Belmont beat Sarsfield from Kildare in their semi final yesterday.
