Boyerstown NS 8-8
Scoil Naomh Barra Wilkinstown 4-6

Outstanding displays from Ruairi Buchanan and Adam Rogers inspired Boyerstown to victory in the Allianz Meath Cumann Na mBunscol Boys Division 4 (13 a side) football final at Pairc Tailteann.

This decider proved to be one of the best on the seven card programme at headquarters. Ruairi Buchanan was outstanding for the winners in the opening half. The talented attacker hit 3-2 in the opening twenty minutes. The first half provided nine goals with the winners holding a 6-3 to 3-3 interval lead. Wilkinstown got a great start with a Like Dolan point and a goal from the influential Evan Corrigan but Boyerstown hit back with an Adam Rogers point and 1-1 from Buchanan. Scoil Naomh Barra held a 3-2 to 2-3 lead with ten minutes remaining in the half but Boyerstown finished with a four goal flurry. Buchanan (2) and one each from Kyle Cosgrove and Rogers gave Cathal O'Brics charges a three goal advantage at the break.

A Seanie Bellew goal narrowed the gap to six points 6-6 to 4-6 midway through the second half but that as close as the Wilkinstown boys got and Boyerstown finished with another scoring burst. Rogers raised his third green flag while joint team captain Kyle Cosgrove finished the scoring with their eighth goal.
