U21FC: Replay win for Summerhill

Summerhill 0-10 Donaghmore/Ashbourne 1-5

Summerhill progressed to the quarter-final of the Under 21 FC following a two point win over Donaghmore/Ashbourne on Monday in Skryne.

Up next for Mick Lyons' side is St Peter's, Dunboyne with the game fixed for Sunday 2nd November in Dunshaughlin at 12pm.

The sides went in level at half-time, 0-4 each. Summerhill's scorers in the opening half hour were Kevin Ryan with a brace of frees and Conor Lyons and Barry Dardis with a point apiece.

Ashbourne got the only goal of the second half from full-forward Michael Deegan but they were only able to add a further point up until the end of the game.

On the other hand, Summerhill were more accurate in front of goal with six points in the second half. Amongst the scorers were half-back John Lavelle, 17-year-old Ronan Ryan and substitute Jack Payne.
