Blackhall mourn death of valued player and member

Blackhall Gaels has been plunged into mourning following the sudden passing of 'valued player and member' Aidan Dalton.

A statement from the club reads: "Blackhall Gaels is shocked and numbed by the sudden death of our valued player and member Aidan Dalton who passed away in his sleep on Thursday night. RIP.

"We express our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to his parents Doris and Michael, to his brothers Tommy, Andy and Declan, to his sister Michelle, to the Dalton and Tolan families and to his large circle of friends.

"As a mark of respect all club activity is suspended until further notice.

"Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a Anam."

Aidan had provided staunch service to the south Meath club and was instrumental in Blackhalls march to the 2014 Meath Junior C decider. Operating from the centre half forward spot he shot four points in the semi final defeat of Simonstown

Tonight's FL Division 2 final against intermediate champions Ballinlough has been called off as a mark of respect.
