John Andrews takes on selectors role

New Meath senior hurling selector John Andrews

John Andrews has been announced a Meath senior hurling team selector. Andrews guided Trim to this years senior hurling final. He took over from Johnny Murray in 2006 as Meath senior hurling manager and also enjoyed a productive spell as Monaghan manager.

The Trim man certainly has built up plenty of experience as a player and manager over the years and the highlight of his days in the Meath jersey came at Ruislip back in 1993 when the Royal County finally achieved their goal of winning the All-Ireland SHC 'B' title by getting the better of London in the final.

John joins manager Martin Ennis and selector Kevin Dowd to complete the team. Dowd was also a selector with Andrews when he was manager.
