Carr in Donegal running

October 15, 2014

Paddy Carr

The name of former Louth manager Paddy Carr has been thrown into the Donegal senior football manager mix.

The Irish Independent reports that Carr, who managed Kilmacud Crokes to an All-Ireland club title in 2009, has been nominated by one club.

Currently manager of defeated Down finalists Burren, the Meath resident has family connections with Donegal and played for the county in the early eighties.

Outgoing selector Paul McGonigle meanwhile, has yet to declare his intentions.

The deadline for nominations to succeed Jim McGuinness is this Friday and Rory Gallagher remains the clear favourite.
