It was a massive weekend for club hurling - two senior semi-finals, two intermediate semi-finals and a junior decider. Trim, Kiltale, Dunderry and Kilskyre advanced while St Pats stunned Kildalkey with a last minute goal. We pick our best XV.
1 Stephen Clince Dunboyne
A couple of very good saves and a clean sheet despite defeat at the hands of Trim in Navan.
2 Evan Stephens Dunderry
Marshalled his defence well and cleared many Ratoath attacks in their semi-final win at Lomans Park.
3 Padraig Muldoon Kilskyre
Very comfortable with everything that came his way. Drumree's plot to send in high ball failed mainly because of the Kilskyre full back.
4 Colm McGrath Trim
Mr Consistant all year. One of the best man markers on the club scene and it was no different in the semi-final win over Dunboyne.
5 JP Ryan St Patrick
The best player on the pitch as St Pats jumped from Junior 2 to Intermediate in two years. Central to the win over Kildalkey, hit three points and took the free that led to that winning goal in the dying momentts at Pairc Tailteann.
6 Colm Doyle Trim
Another exhibition from the centre back as Trim marched to the decider.
7 John Donoghue Kiltale
An inspiration to all the young players around him. Drove Kiltale on in the second half at Navan.
8 Luke Moran Trim
Still minor, Moran gave an exhibition in the middle of the park as Trim advanced at the expense of Dunboyne.
9 Anthony Forde Kiltale
Worked his socks off for the hour. Hit a wonderful point towards the end of the game to seal Kiltale's win.
10 Shane Ashe Trim
Introduced after 25 minutes and was just the tonic that Trim needed. His physical presence and second half point were crucial to the Trim win.
11 Padraig O'Hanrahan Ratoath
Will wonder how he ended up on the losing side. Magnificent all through against Dunderry. Ended up with 1-11 to his name.
12 David Gilkeson Dunderry
His tally of eleven points were crucial as Dunderry stunned Ratoath with that late come back in Trim.
13 Tom Shine Kilskyre
The veteran of the team and also their playmaker. Scored eight points and was at the centre of most of the Kilskyre attacks.
14 Jack Regan Kiltale
Really came to life in the second half against Kildalkey. Ended up with nine points out of 14. Enough said.
15 Paddy Conneely Kildalkey
The one bright spark from a disappointing weekend for the 'Village'. Hit six points and constantly tormented the Kiltale rearguard.
