Duleek/Bellewstown switch on new floodlights

Duleek/Bellewstown GFC recently celebrated a significant milestone in their Club Development Programme. On Saturday 13th September 2014 the Club performing the official switching on of their new Floodlighting system. In addition they cut the ribbon on their new land purchase.

Commenting on the night Club Chairman Oliver Cudden said that "these new lands will allow the Club to grow over the next 5-10 years and provide excellent training facilities for both young and adult players in our Club." Club President and retired former Meath County Council Chairman, Jimmy Cudden said it was an honour to be asked to switch on the lights while County Board Chairman, Conor Tormey said that the addition of these new facilities will help the Club return to the top level of gaelic football in Meath both at underage and adult level.

Concluding the event Chairman Oliver Cudden praised the hard work of the sub committees within the club where, over the past 4 years, over €340,000 has been spent on Development Works without the Club going into debt. However, he said that, over the next 5-10 years, in excess of €800,000 will need to be spent to achieve full build out of the Club's overall Development Plan.
