Kerry had six points to spare over Meath in the All Ireland MHC B final at Nenagh

Kerry 3-18
Meath 2-15

Kerry have been crowned All-Ireland minor 'B' hurling champions after a six-point victory over 14-man Meath in Nenagh this afternoon.

Causeway's Brandon Barrett netted twice in an action-packed finish as the Kingdom took the spoils. The winners raised an early green flag, but Meath battled back to trail by the minimum at the end of the opening quarter, 0-6 to 1-4.

With their midfielder Charlie Bird the outstanding player on view, the Royals regained parity at half-time, 0-10 to 1-7.

Kerry signalled their intent by scoring three points within five minutes of the restart. With Meath losing Josh Wall to a red card, the Kingdom surged seven points clear, 1-17 to 0-13, by the 55th minute.

The game finished with a flourish as Barrett raised a couple of green flags and Bird had a consolation goal for the Leinster side, who had received a bye into the final after Westmeath had given them a walkover in the semi-final.
