Best wishes to St Brigid's footballer Fergal Hennessy who was brought to hospital by ambulance during last Friday night's Tailteann Cup final defeat by Bective at Pairc Tailteann.

The veteran corner-forward had posted three points on the scoreboard before he started to feel pains in his chest in the second-half and was subsequently bought to nearby Navan hospital via ambulance.

The 35-year-old was transferred to the Mater Hospital later that night where he underwent surgery to rectify a heart complaint and it is understood his condition has improved over the weekend.
