Curraha lost out to Cortown in the JFC yesterday but they were forced to line out minus the services of goalkeeper Liam Hogan who is on escort duty at the Rose of Tralee festival.

The UUJ student - who captained the east Meath outfit to success in the U-21 FC 'C' last year - was one of a group of 32 Irish lads who made it through the rigours of the Rose of Tralee Boot Camp for Escorts and he is spending this week in the company of the Washington Rose, Allison Wetteraux, at the world famous festival.

In his absence his team-mates slipped to an eight points defeat - 0-10 to 0-18 - in Pairc Tailteann but he should return for their next outing as Jonny Magee's charges aim to return to winning ways.
