Trim 1-6

Ratoath kept alive their promotion hopes with a 4 point win in this round 12 League encounter played in Trim yesterday. Playing with the wind advantage in the first half Ratoath failed to make the most of it and they also conceded a goal in the 15th minute to the home side. The highlight of the first half from a Ratoath point of view was a sublime point from Paul Flaherty from fully 60 metres. Other than that Fergal Power's men would not have been satisfied with a 1 point lead at half time (0-7 to 1-3).

The second half saw a different Ratoath side as their give and go,short passing game worked well into the breeze. As a result they were always well in control with their ball retention particularly good in the last 10 minutes.Best for the away side, in what was once again an overall very good team performance were Brian Daly,Gavin Eiffe,Gareth Rooney,Colm Nugent and Colm O'Riordan
