Summerhill were beaten by five points away to Donaghmore/Ashbourne on Thursday in their penultimate B League Division 1 fixture.

The home side were six ahead at the interval but that lead could have been halved where it not for the Ashbourne goalkeeper who stopped Gary Rispin's penalty and also saved the rebound.

Despite edging the second half, Summerhill were unable to break through the Ashbourne defence and grab a vital goal.

Summerhill were overly reliant on Rispin for scores, the full-forward finishing with a tally of eight points. Jack Fagan and Jeremy Ennis were the two other scorers for Summerhill.
