Na Fianna maintained their challenge for Division 1 honours with a fine win over St Patrick's in the impressive Stamullen grounds. Na Fianna put in a very consistent performance with good defensive work providing the basis for this win. Na Fianna led by 1-08 to 0-5 at half time with Shane Barrett netting a trademark goal.

St Pat's had to attack more in the second half and Na Fianna capitalised on this, especially Jamie Queeney who burst forward twice and scored two goals. Barrett followed with another goal while Daniel Queeney, Conor Downey also added points.

Best for Na Fianna: James Geagan, Anthony Neary, Damien Downey, Ailbhe Mahon, Jamie Queeney, Shane Barrett and Conor Downey.

The win takes Na Fianna two points behind leaders Dunboyne and Dunshaughlin, with a game in hand. That game sees Na Fianna facing a tough test when Wolfe Tones visit Enfield on Tuesday.
