Dangerous Talk

June 12, 2014

Carlow's Brian Murphy is tackled by Micky Burke of Meath during the 2012 Leinster SFC quarter final (draw) at Tullmore.
Talk doing the rounds at the moment of beating Carlow a point a man on Sunday is nothing short of dangerous.

A couple of potent reminders.

Never in the history of Meath football have we seen a Royal County team prepare for a championship field with so many injuries.

Only two short years ago the same Carlow held us to a draw in neutral Tullamore. It could so easily have been the shock of the year. They have home advantage next Sunday.

And this thing about Carlow football being weak is in ways a load of rubbish. When has a Meath club last won the Leinster senior championship? Well teams representing Sundays opponents have won same on no less than 6 occasions since 1992.

Hopefully nuff said
