A tight fought contest ensued in Martry where the early Midfield Dominance of Boardsmill ensued a early lead by 0-3 to no score. With Clann na nGael midfielder Sean Reilly getting more and more possession and Gary Cole from centre half back driving forward. The potency of the Clann na nGael attack with Aaron Ryan 1-2 and Dara Brogan 1-1 ensured a half time lead of 2-4 to 0-3 for Clann na nGael.

Back came Boardsmill in the 2nd half and outscored Clann na nGael by 0-10-0-5. Clann na nGael held on to win by 0-2 and only for a great save by Clann na nGael's Peter Gary (Substitute Keeper). The result may have being different

Best for Clann na nGael was Jack Doherty and Padraic Seoighe in defence, Sean Reilly who was outstanding in midfield. Aaron Ryan and Dara Brogan in attack
