Gaeilscoil Na Boinne defeated Skryne to win their first ever title in what turned out to be the best game of football seen at the Cumann Na mBunscol finals for a long time. In the end it was a late winner from James O'Foghlu that gave Gaeilscoil the Boys Division 3 title

Gaeilscoil Na Boinne 2-6
Skryne NS 2-5

As at the end of the game a point separted the teams at half time. Gaeilscoil led 1-3 to 1-2. A Daniel O'Colmain goal along with points from Harry O'Cinneide, David O'Baoill and Sean O'Foghlu accounted for their total. The outstanding Niall Finnerty (2) and a Kian Reddy goal kept Skryne within touching distance. With five minutes to go Gaeilscoil led 2-5 to 1-4 thanks to a David O'Baoill goal but Skryne levelled with a Shane Smyth three pointer and a fine point from Finnerty. A draw would have been a fair result but James O'Foghlu had other ideas and with time almost up he set over the winner to spark wild scenes of celebration.

After the game Gaeilscoil joint captains Conor O'Coigligh and Aonghus Mac an Ghearr were presented with the Division 3 Cup.
