November 05, 2019

The Healthy Club Project aims to support clubs in building healthy practises into their everyday activities.

Health & Wellbeing chairman Andy Fahy outlined plans to promote the Cardiac Screening of all club players over 16 years of age prior to the commencement of the 2020 season.

He said at Monday's County Board meeting it was also intended to deliver a safetalk programme presentation to all club coaches, as well as a gambling awareness programme to all clubs. He also hoped to encourage more clubs to participate in Phase 4 of the Healthy Club Project.

Committee members were present in Croke Park recently for the presentation of Healthy Club awards to five Meath clubs – Dunderry, Navan O’Mahonys, Syddan, Ratoath and Na Fianna.
