SFC: 'Hill' too strong for Rathkenny

Summerhill continued their push to reach the quarter finals of  the Fairyhouse Steel SFC beating Rathkenny in Pairc Tailteann on Saturday evening.

Despite the high scoring result it was Rathkenny who lead for most of the first half and it was only when Conor Frayne hit the net twenty minutes into the half that the 'Hill' started to get a foothold on the game, going in at the break 1-7 to 0-7 . A goal from Paul Larkin four minutes into the second half put Summerhill into the driving seat and further goals from Diarmuid McCabe (16 mins) and a second from Conor Frayne (18mins) wrapped the game up as a contest.

Summerhill play Longwood in two weeks in the final round of the group stages.
