Team News: Meath stick with winning formula

June 21, 2019

Meath's Adam Gannon

The Meath senior hurling team to take on Down in the Christy Ring Cup final at Croke on Saturday afternoon has been named.

Meath manager Nick Fitzgerald and his selectors have opted for the same starting XV that defeated Derry in the semi final earlier in the month.

This means that both Padraig Hanrahan and Eamon O Donnchadha miss out through injury with Barry Slevin and Adam Gannon retaining their places.

Meath are warm favourites to lift the title for a second time and they will look to the likes of top scorer Jack Regan to continue his good form this weekend.

Meath: Shane McGann; Ger Murphy, Darragh Kelly, Shane Whitty; Shane Brennan, Keith Keoghan, James Kelly; Sean Geraghty (Capt), Cathal McCabe; Damien Healy, Barry Slevin, Jack Regan, Gavin McGowan, Alan Douglas, Adam Gannon.
