Sorry to inform readers about the sad death of former Gaeil Colmcille stalwart Eamon Keelaghan.
Eamonn was a star player and one of the lynchpins of the Kells senior team during the late seventies and early eighties.
He was from the old school of footballers. Solid, brave and and with a great pair of hands.
Eamonn usually lined out in one of the midfield slots and was outstanding at centre half back when the townsmen regained their senior status in 1986.
This after a short stay in the intermediate grade with Meath Hill beaten in the final.
Eamon was good enough to line out for the Meath juniors. His son Robbie is at present an outstanding senior player with Navan O Mahonys.
Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.
