FL Div 2: Depleted Michaels can't halt Rathkenny's unbeaten run

Rathkenny maintained their unbeaten run following a great second half performance in Rathkenny last evening.

St. Michaels, who were short a number of regulars allowed their opponents to go three points up before they got off the mark on ten minutes when Shane McCormack sent over from a free, Ray Reilly followed likewise two minutes later to reduce the deficit to the minimum however  Rathkenny cancelled out those two scores to restore their three point advantage.
Oran Meehan got the first of his brace at the start of the second quarter and both sides traded two points before the interval with Reilly and McCormack on target for St. Michaels who trailed by two at the break, 0-5 to 0-7.                            

Rathkenny added four points in the third quarter to go six in front, St. Michaels were struggling to get on the scoreboard at this stage and only managed two points for the entire second half from Meehan and Davy Lynch whereas the home side could do nothing wrong finishing out the game with a further five points.
