The games have been a wonderful success and  are very popular with the schools and clubs due to its unique regional nature and the one on one scoring model which allows goals have the same value as points and in doing so drives more competitive matches.

This Fridays finals start at 11am

Realt Na Mara (Donacarney) V Gaelscoil an Bhradain Feasa (Mornington)

Up first is the Jimmy Curran Cup Final which sees Realt Na Mara Girls NS take local rivals Gaelscoil an Bhradain Feasa from Mornington.  This is a big derby with friends and club mates playing against each other in what should be a terrific final

St Stephens NS (Walterstown) V Scoil Spoiraid Naoimh (Bettystown)

At 12:15 then is the meeting of St Stephens NS who take on Scoil Spoiraid Naoimh from Bettystown in the Corn Cois Farraige Final.  Both are trying to land the crown for the very first time.  This should be a compelling contest with both sides drawing in the round robin league series of games.

Whitecross NS (Julianstown)  V Realt Na Mara Boys NS (Donacarney)

Lastly in the showpiece decider which throws in at 1:30pm, The Cooney Cup, a repeat of last years final. On that occasion Whitecross NS were the victors and this years finals promises to be another cracker as the champions look to become the first school side to win back to back Cooney Cup Titles.

All games are 25 minutes a side.   Teams level at full time, means there will be extra time of 5 mins each way.  Should games be level after extra time, the matches then go to sudden death extra time where the first team to score will be the winner.

The winning teams will presented with a set of school jerseys courtesy of sponsors Boyne Cars/Opel.
