Wolfe Tones Report

Wolfe Tones 1-7 Dunboyne 8-17

Bhí cuairteoirí Dunboyne ró-láidir do Bhulf Tón agus bhí bua compordach acu cé gur imir peileadóirí Cill Bhearraigh- Baile Ghib le sprid go deireadh an chluiche.

Dunboyne were much too strong for hosts Wolfe Tones and had quite a comfortable lead at half time on a scoreline of 0  04 to 2 08. Cilian O Brien accounted for three of those points with the fourth point coming from Aonghus Mc Loughlin. Dunboyne upped their scoring rate in the second half when wind assisted and their strong running and good combination play put the Tones' defense to the sword.  Although the Tones were well outgunned they continued to play with spirit but could not gain a foothold in the game despite the best efforts of Charlie Mc Garry, David Coleman, half time substitute Adrian Sheridan, Alan Callaghan Kilian O Brien, Gearóid O Brien and Mark Mc Fadden. Bhulf Tón did get some consolation scores as the game came to a close. Adrian Sheridan helped himself to 1 01, the goal coming as he reacted quickest to a ball which came off the Dunboyne keeper as he saved from Matty Melady while Thomas Blaney added a late free.
