FIACHRA ROSS made a return to competitive action following a long term injury as Syddan registered a facile home win in the B League.
Ross was having his first outing since suffering a cruciate injury 12 months ago and hit two points after coming on in the final quarter.
Summerhill were scarce in bodies and never posed a serious threat at any stage as Syddan had 1-7 on the scoreboard before they opened their
account.
Brian Dillon accounted for Syddan's early goal and Gary McManus added a second as the hosts led 2-10 to 1-3 at the break. The Summerhill
goal arrived on the approach to half-time.
Peter Sheehy added a third goal on 40 minutes in what was a one-sided second half. The final goal came in the closing stages, a simple tap in effort from Kevin Carry.
