Success for Meath at the Leinster Scór finals

March 16, 2018

Recitation winner Brendán Mac Gabhann with his Leinster Senior Scór medal at The Helix

The finals took place at the Helix last Sunday and the large audience enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of Scór culture, ceilí dancing, solo singing, recitation, ballad group, stage presentation, instrumental music and set dancing.

Meath was one of the few counties with acts in all seven disciplines. The standard was high in all categories. After lengthy deliberations by the adjudicators the Bean on Tí announced that Meath's Brendán Mac Gabhann was the winner of the Recitation competition.

The National Scór Sinsir finals will take place in Sligo on Saturday April 14th. Leinster champion, Brendán Mac Gabhann, will fly the flag for Meath and no doubt the Clann Na nGael man will deliver his recitation with a nod to the Royal County!
