Kiltale 24hr Walking Challenge

April 25, 2018

Hopefully a combined total of 1500km will be walked during the event

Kiltale Hurling Club in conjunction with Meath River Rescue and Cycle Against Suicide are holding a Walk & Talk 24hr Walking Challenge.

The Challenge

We aim to have 24 teams walking in relay continuously for 24 hours from 7pm on Saturday 5th May to 7pm on Sunday 6th May.  Each of 24 teams will walk for 1 hour. As a little challenge and to focus the mind we also aim to walk a combined total of 1500km during the event with each team members distances being accounted for.

The club and its members are presently pulling the teams together with team leaders at the helm!

Walk and Talk is building momentum - The school, The present teams, Past and Present members are all getting involved and on the last hour all who participated will come back and walk the last hour.   It is hoped that at some stage TV3 will cover the event also.

A BBQ and Music will conclude the event on Sunday 6th May at 7pm.

All information on the event can be followed on www.kiltalehurling.com and on facebook and twitter

The GAA Clubs

The 2 nominated charities are Meath River Rescue & Cycle Against Suicide. Both these charities are based in Meath and will really benefit from the support.

Each GAA Club in the County have been asked to participate in this Charity hour.  The club nominate a person with a donation to walk the charity hour.
