FL Div 3: 'Hill' good form continues

February 26, 2018

Meath Hill's Ian Malone

Ballinlough 0-6 Meath Hill 0-10

Meath Hill's good form continued with a hard fought win away to Ballinlough on Sunday afternoon.

Meath Hill played with the wind in the first half and led by 0-8 to 0-2 at the break. Three late first half points would prove crucial.

Ballinlough fought back as expected in the 2nd half and had the gap down to two points with 15 mins to go.  However, Meath Hill played with great composure from there on, despite being down to 14 men and kept Ballinlough scoreless, while Ian Malone chipped in with two more super points to seal victory.

A good all round team performance, especially in defence, with Malone and Keith Ginnitty also leading from the front.

Meath Hill: Dominic Yorke, Conor Marry, Ryan Owens, Martin Tully, James Mooney, Kieran Slavin, Thomas Carolan, Paddy Matthews, Keith Ginnitty, Jack McMahon (0-1), Ian Malone (0-7), Pierce McGrath (0-2), Ryan Carry, Tommy Rooney, Tomas Smith. Sub: Emmet Matthews
