Moynalty 1-7 Dunderry 2-13

Dunderry opened their B' league campaign with a strong display away to Moynalty.  

The visitors were 3 points to no score up after 8 minutes with scores from Bob Doherty, Peter Casey and Dermot Kelly. The home side replied with a point but Casey extended the winners laed with a brace from frees. In the 18th min a high ball into the square was fielded by Doherty he found Tomas Conroy who lashed the ball into the top corner of the net. Doherty pointed a long range free and Kevin Bruton scored a fine point in the 25th min to leave the half time score 1-5 to 1-7 in favour of Dunderry.

The second half was only a minute in when Liam Dempsey scored a fine point. This was followed by a superb point by Conroy from about 30yrds out on the dug out touchline. Dunderry's defence were strong dealing with any goal chances and keeping the home side to long range efforts, the one time they bared down on goal keeper Garreth Dooley pulled off a fine save.

Conroy scored 2 more points in the 43rd and 52nd minutes, Bruton and Gary Clarke followed suit. In the final minute a high ball into the square caused problems for the Moynalty defence and Bruton was on hand to fist the ball into the net.

Moynalty's 2018 B League Campaign opened with a defeat at the hands of visitors Dunderry. While the half time score of 1-05, to 1-07 would suggest the first half was evenly contested, it was after the break that Dunderry pulled away.
