U21 Preview: Seven clubs - two finals

As the season winds down there are just two games this weekend for followers of the Meath club scene. The Under 21 A and Under 21 B football championship titles are up for grabs tomorrow Saturday December 9th. Both games are in Pairc Tailteann.
The A decider promises to be a cracker with the meeting of Killary Emmets and Curraha. The 'Ha' will be looking to round off a great year but will be without the services of star attacker Conor Moriarty. The sharp shooter picked up a wrist injury in the Leinster Club semi-final loss to Ballyboughal. The Mattie McDonnell Cup winners will look to Mark Phelan, Niall Murphy, Sean O'Hanrahan, Brian Joyce, Brian Murphy, Sean Keogh and Andrew Battersby to lead the line. Curraha defeated Moynalvey in the quarter final and stunned St Olivers in the semi final forcing that game to extra time when all seemed loss in injury time.
Killary defeated Na Fianna and Gaeil Colmcille on their way to the final. The Syddan Castletown combination will look to Daire Rowe for scores. The Meath Under 21 was in fine form in their 3-8 to 2-10 semi final win. The Killary squad that day was Jack Reid; Evan Hoey, Cormac Rafferty; William Bellew, Jamie McMahon, Michael Clare; Sean Clare 1-1, Cathal Dardis; Michael Fedigan, Daire Rowe 1-6 (4f), Padraic Dillon 1-0; Mark Kelly, Paul Bellew 0-1. Subs - Andrew Kenny, Eoin Lynch Duff, Eoin Reid, Kevin Carry.
Two combination sides clash in the Under 21 B final. Bective/Dunsany grabbed injury time winning scores in their quarter final win over Drumconrath Meath Hill and proved too strong for Dunderry in the semi final. County Under 21 and Junior footballer Cathal McConnell has been in fine form for the Niall Flynn trained outfit.
Moynalty/Carnaross have had just the one outing in this competition. Tom Shine's charges got a walk over from Walterstown in their opening game but were very impressive against Kilmainham/Drumbaragh/Cortown in their 4-14 to 0-6 win. The North Meath combination include former Meath minors Frank O'Reilly, James Cassidy, Cian O'Reilly and Meath U21 keeper Johnny Lynch in their ranks.
