Ratoath celebrate their Division 2 HL final win at Dunganny

Ratoath 0-12  O'Mahonys 0-7

Teams and supporters were greeted by a frost covered pitch in Dunganny for the Division 2 Senior Hurling League Final.

In a very physical contest, it was Intermediate Hurling Championship winners O'Mahonys who got the first point from a free in the fourth minute. Two minutes later Padraig O'Hanrahan replied with a point from a free. Midway through the first half Ratoath were down to 14 men with the sending off of Jack McGowan, but this only seemed to strengthen Ratoath's resolve and at half time they led by 0-8 to 0-2.

Coming into the second half O'Mahonys continued to pile on the pressure and were rewarded with their first point from play in the fifth minute. However Ratoath were not found wanting, and met the Navan onslaught bravely and skilfully, finishing off the game with the very last score from Padraig O'Hanrahan. Final score : Ratoath 0-12 O'Mahoneys 0-07.
