On Friday the 13th of October Donaghmore/Ashbourne GAA will host a compromise rules match against a selection from the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) in Australia.
This is the fifth game between the two sides in a series that started ten years ago. To date both teams have had two victories so this encounter will be keenly contested as each side seek to gain the upper hand.
The VAFA team is a regional Aussie Rules team made up of ex AFL players and players who have impressed during the past season.
The Donaghmore /Ashbourne team will have a number of county stars playing on the night. These include County Captain Graham Reilly, Joe Sheridan, Conor Mc Gill and Donal Keoghan and of course our own Bryan Menton.
Throw in is at 8pm. A great night's entertainment is guaranteed.
