Yes thats true Mick but surely between everyone they can get it together and run a proper Mayo website with information on all aspects of Mayo GAA including the county hurling team, club games, fundraisers and general information on players. It would be great to see ex Mayo players putting something into it too. The site should be either run properly or taken down altogether. The pictures on it look like a schoolboys collage of newspaper cut outs. Surely to God theres a few young web whizz kids that could improve the site.

Whats the story with:
Tom Cunniffe is in college in Liverpool. Playing colleges football over there with John Moore's.
Aidan Kilcoyne did his collarbone again recently, and is out for another while.
Pat Harte is away working.
Don't know about Barry Moran.
BJ Padden is living and working in Down. I dont think he is commiting this year. I saw him going in the turnstile in front of me to the Dublin game. Looked happy to be a spectator.

Apart from Hoganstand other good websites for getting information on the Maya GAA scene are Mayo gaa blog and club mayo websites.

Mayogaa.com
well said somebody else feels my frustration about that website....i have to say hogansatand is fantastic for getting information for upcoming games and results but mayogaa.com need to be seriously updated you can get in to the reults and fixtures but takes a bit of navigating where are the photos of the newer generation players. there should be photos from every game for a county website.

Judging by his displays so far this year i feel he is has earned a starting spot for the c,ship. himself, ronaldson and varley seem to be finally delivering on their promise. however i feel tom parsons hasnt improved from his debut season

Mayo team for Championship 2010
wud stil go with parsons instead of c mortimor and have him and mcgarrity midfield wit s o shea as third midfielder. agree with havin howley at 6 and i wud have k mcloughlin at 7 and have a moran at wing forward. ronaldson deserves his spot in the corner with varley mortimor and kilcoyne to come on

Its embaressing. The pictures are ancient and the website itself is so badly laid out and sluggish. Compare it to other counties websites and you cant help but feel the shame.

Great win in Derry
Derryman - settle pettle. Without wanting to sound like I am running down Dublins victory (as a Galway man, I appreciate how hard it is to beat Mayo in Fortress Castlebar) Mayo were woeful that day kicking an ungodly amount of wides. Their play so far (and yes, it's only the league, and only March) indicates a team developing some real confidence. I expect them to be real contenders come May.

Mayo U21's
TheMaster & Ballaghman agree completely with ye both.there are plenty of good quality players playing junior and intermediate football around the county.these players know what it's like to play in tough hard, hitting games and in my opinion often show more heart then many senior players

Mayo U21's
i agree ballaghman, its crazy when you think about it. Brian Dooher came from a junior club and look a the influence he has on the tyrone side. I would argue that lads from these clubs are exactly what we need. They would be more used to 'the chips being down' or things not going to plan, and would probably be more used to getting 'special treatment' from opposition. This type of thing builds character; something mayo have lacked

Are Football Managers Bullies??
mod i completely agree with your point.I've seen several young players in recent years taking knocks playing senior/junior football becoz they physically werent strong enuf. Just because a 16 yr old lad is a gud footballer it doesnt mean he shud be thrown in against grown men twice his size!
