The words 'go wide' will forever be associated with Midwest Radio's Michael D McAndrew after his commentatory of yesterday's drawn Mayo-Kerry encounter.

Michael D brilliantly captured the mood from a Mayo viewpoint when willing Bryan Sheehan's last-second free for Kerry to go wide before expressing his relief when Aidan O'Shea plucked the ball from the clouds, which was followed immediately by the sound of referee Maurice Deegan's final whistle.
