Former Mayo footballer Aidan Kilcoyne could be about to give county manager Stephen Rochford another goalkeeping headache!

Kilcoyne whose career was thought to be over when he extensively damaged his knee in a freak accident before a game in 2013, has been lining out in goals this year for his club Knockmore.

The 31-year-old has played his part in the side reaching this year's county SFC semi final against Breaffy.

A clean sheet in the quarterfinal win over Aghamore has helped build Kilcoyne's confidence, but they know that they face a tough test this weekend.

"Well we know everyone will be tipping Breaffy, but we will come up and give it everything we have and see where it takes us," Kilcoyne told the Mayo News.

"They've had our number on the last few occasions and we know we will have to produce a big performance and better than what we did in the semi-final, but we're there and we'll give it a shot."
