The Mayo GAA U14 and U13 Hurling Development squads were in Bekan recently as they took part in the Connacht GAA Veronica Connolly (U14) and Mickie Cunniffe (U13) competitions. In total 42 Mayo hurlers took part in the event with seven teams from around Connacht taking part.

 

Honours on the day went to the Mayo U13 Hurling side who claimed the Mickey Cunniffe U13 Hurling Shield, while the U14 side finished runners-up to Galway on a 3-6 to 3-5 scoreline.

Veronica Connolly U14 Tournament

Rd1: Mayo 5-10 Roscommon 0-3

Rd2: Mayo 6-7 Sligo 0-1

Rd3: Galway 3-6 Mayo 3-5

 

Mickey Cunniffe U13 Tournament

Rd1: Mayo 8-10 Roscommon 2-1

Rd2: Mayo 7-9 LeitrimU14 2-1

Rd3: Mayo w/o Sligo
