Mayo defender Keith Higgins believes that the experience of losing All-Ireland SFC finals can stand to them as they prepare for this year's decider.
In recent years, Mayo lost the 2012 and '13 All-Ireland finals with many of the current squad involved in those losses.
And Higgins feels that they must learn from those losses in order to have a chance against either Kerry or Dublin in this year's final.
"We know what it's like to lose All-Ireland finals at this stage. We know … we hope we know what we've to do to try and get over the line," said Higgins.
"So it's a big four weeks to get that right, and it's a bit of, at least we have a bit of time to try and work on it."
