The Mayo County Board are still counting the cost of failing to reach a sixth successive Connacht SFC final.

If Mayo had beaten Galway, they would have faced Roscommon in MacHale Park, Castlebar.

However, their failure to do so means that the Mayo County Board will lose out on the gate receipts from the game.

A full house was expected for the provincial decider and the Mayo News reports that the county board miss out on an estimated €75,000 in revenue.

Instead, Mayo will entertain Fermanagh at MacHale Park in the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers on Saturday, July 9th.
