Mayo junior footballers are still awaiting a decision on when their All-Ireland JFC final against Kerry will be played.

The original fixture is pencilled in for Saturday, August 8th, which is the same day that Mayo seniors play their All-Ireland SFC quarterfinal.

Mayo defeated Kilkenny in the semi-final last weekend and their manager Sean McLoughlin told the Western People that they were unsure where or when the game would be played.

"It has been fixed for Saturday, August 8th on the GAA website for some time now," said McLoughlin. "The situation we find ourselves in now, you'd imagine that they'll either have to change the date or play it in Dublin because they surely wouldn't consider having some Mayo supporters travelling to another venue 150 miles from Dublin."

The match could yet be played in Croke Park if it is pencilled in for the same day as the senior match, but initial suggestions were that it would be played at the Gaelic Grounds, Limerick.
