Alan Dillon and Andy Moran claimed their eighth Connacht SFC medals following Mayo's drubbing of Sligo.

Dillon, who came off the bench during the 26-point rout, was delighted to taste provincial success once again.

"It's brilliant, we watch the Cork and Kerry match last night and provincial titles are very important," he said in the Western People.

"Today, we didn't expect to come out of the blocks that early against Sligo who were full of confidence after the Roscommon game. We're delighted to get in a good performance, a big scoreline that'll be good for confidence in three weeks' time."

The Ballintubber clubman feels Mayo are coming good at the right time after an indifferent league campaign.

"It's been a slow burner so far for us. The league probably didn't go where we wanted it to, but I suppose after the Galway performance and now this hopefully we will be building momentum for the next three weeks.

"Whoever it is in the quarter-final we will have to up our performance."
